With over 25 years’ experience operating in wholesale financial services, Investment Banking can be considered ‘home turf’ for us. From a technology perspective, we have wide-ranging exposure to many key areas of the investment bank - from basic treasury operations (FX/MM) through securities and capital markets, to equity and derivatives trading, clearing, settlement and reconciliation on both buy- and sell-side. We have seasoned practitioners on staff from both business and technology communities, who have delivered projects and managed large-scale change in the most challenging environments right across the board.

Electronic Commerce and Payment Processing

Some of our largest projects have been in the retail and card payments industry, where the twin needs of extreme scalability and the highest levels of information security resonate firmly with our experience in the high-volume trading environments of the investment banking world. Employed as enterprise architects on major card processing and digital wallet initiatives over the past 5 years, we can also offer program and development management, business and requirements analysis, architecture, design, development and testing into these projects, using individuals who have strong backgrounds in both e-commerce and the payments industry.

Messaging Standards and Integration

A deep knowledge of the messaging standards supporting the wholesale financial services community is a core competency of Incept5. We have been working in and around the SWIFT community for nearly 25 years, and have been active participants on the standards bodies driving FpML and FIX almost since their inception. BPM and matching/reconciliation solutions that we have architected are typically founded on a robust messaging strategy as a necessary first step to ensuring that the right quality and consistency of data is available to dependent components of the transaction ecosystem.
